Unique product to the dredging industry

IHC Global Production and Liebherr-France, Mining & Marine Excavators division entered into a cooperation agreement. Both parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) aiming for joint activity in relation to product improvement, sales and services.

Design

The IHC Backhoe dredger range is a non-self propelled dredger that can be used for a wide range of marine operations and is fitted with a Liebherr excavator, fully adapted for continuous use in marine environment.

The pontoon can be partially lifted out of the water to the extent required for the dredger to be firm in the ground. For lifting and positioning of the IHC Backhoe dredger the pontoon is equipped with three spuds. Two fixed spuds are positioned close to the excavator, the third spud, with a hydraulic operated spud carrier, is positioned on the opposite site of the dredger.
